Do you think it’s possible for you to find love without having a relationship and likewise to have a relationship without love? If you’re willing to nurture relationship then you must be willing to nurture love as well. What you are ready to give, it all boils down to what you’re looking for. It’s the same with what people says, do unto others as you would like done unto you.

There are some components or rules of engagements that we can see in order to have an enjoyable and lasting love and relationship, but we must take a deeper look inside love and relationship itself.

The most important thing that we have to pay attention in having a long lasting relationship is to lay the foundation, after then we will be able to look at ability to share, good communication, compatibility or incompatibility, etc.

You must ask yourself first what is the definition of a good relationship in your opinion? It’s not love if one of you or your partner is taking advantage of each other or when he/she gives more than the other one. Love or relationship must be based on trust, love, faith, sharing and self-control, if that’s your definition about love or relationship, then you’re on a right track to start a good relationship.

Talking about friendship, it’s also part of having a relationship. What is friendship? Friendship needs a commitment and should also be about having fun together, having good communication and entertaining one to another in both way, sad or happy time. For the sake of the relationship, true friends will go the extra mile and will not interfere with each other’s life.

Sometimes between friends, they will go more further and develop into serious intimate relationships. Friendship before intimacy is the way to go as they have an overview of the others habits, skills, personality, behaviors, etc.

When we made mistakes in our relationship, don’t be afraid or hold back, because people make mistakes as mistakes are part of our life that sometimes through our mistakes we learn a lot and it illustrates loyalty and commitment. Sometimes we have to realize that after we made mistakes then it will help us to appreciate more about humanity and love as well as life itself.

If you want to have a good relationship with your partner then you must give and take. You must give when your partner is in need as you will receive from him/her in return. What I mean with “giving” term here is like caring, sharing, and understanding. When two people share and they’re giving the best of each other, then the relationship often leads to love.
